Can anyone tell me what these numbered items are on these pictures. These are not pictures of my transmission, I found them on the internet. For number 1 all there is on my transmission is a large threaded hole.

Thanks

It's been awhile since I've thought of this:
1. Skip Shift Solenoid
2. Reverse lockout solonoid
3. Vehicle Speed Sensor
4. Reverse Lights Switch?
5. Vent tube

So if I don't plan on using the skip shift feature, can this location be left open or should it be plugged?

Any one know where I can get connectors with pigtails for the electricals on the trans?

If you don't want skip shift, then you need to use an eliminator. The plug in the tranny can be left empty, but the wire that goes into it needs to have a resistor in it. The wire has two conductors, and you need a resistor between them. Then, simply tape it up and tie-wrap it off somewhere.

Check out Install University for more details.

Im using a truck motor (LQ9) with harness and computer so I don't even think my computer is programed for skip shifting.
