Default output shaft spline problems

so i ordered a driveshaft from a sponsor. it came in and looks very nice. well i go to install it.............. it wont slide into the trans. upon further cursing and looking into it i find, my trans output shaft has 27 splines and the one that was sent to me (slipp yolk) has 28. so is mine just an odd ball trans or did i get the just plain out wrong slip yolk?

Your trans isn't an odd ball, 27 is right. Usually the slip yoke has 26 splines and where the 27 spline would have been there is no spline.

yes sir. that is exactly what i have. as soon as i can get ahold of bob i am sure that we will get everything taken care of. they seem like a very good business so i am really not worried. i just need my car back is the only real problem. good thing i dont live far from work or i would be in a world of crap lol

the automatics also have the same spline count as the t-56s don't they?

if not then perhapse they thought i had an auto???????????

Ford uses a 28 spline output. I wager they sent a Ford application yoke.
