where is a good place to by a stock lt1 t56 and low price is hopeful, thanks

takes patience, but depending on your location (fill out your profile..), your budget, and needs, deals pop up every now and then.. I believe there are some more LT1 specific forums (I won't mention them, you know what they are... LOL) where you might find more LT1 trans' for sale..

I picked up 7 cores a few months back, and slowly reman'ing them with all the goodies already installed, so there are still deals to be had.

Have you tried a automotive junk yard. Bare with me here on this one. I go to a place to get cores. 95% of the time they are in great shape. They come out of wrecked vehicles that are totaled so as long as the case isn't broken most of the internals are fine. We have gotten lucky on about a dozen transmissions and they were brand new just rebuilt. You might try that.

yeah im gonna start searchin the junk yards soon as well. Im just waiting on a loan from my bank so im starting to search now.

Tremec no longer offers the unit brand new but if in a pinch , you might pick up a LS1 unit and convert it over .
