Default How can I remove the springs in my Hurst Billet?

I have a Hurst Billet Plus in my Z28, got it a few months back.... when installing it I didn't really see any springs, can anyone confirm if I can even do such a thing? I couldn't find an e-mail contact on Hurst's website.

I've read that removing 2 springs will reduce the notchiness... will it also affect centering tension? I want more centering tension, and a less notchy shifter, though those 2 are probably contradictory.

and once they're removed, are they easy to put back in?

If you can change them, you will find bolts that hold the shifter handle in place. Remove them and you'll find the springs underneath the retention plate.
