Default Couple of 6 speed swap questions

Getting all the parts ready that i need for my A4 to M6 swap and have a few questions that i couldnt find answers to by searching.

1. Can i use a Floor shifter boot off a V-6 M5 car?

2. Are the M6 and A4 Torque arm mounts the same?

3. Can i use a A4 crossmember on a M6 trans?

The A4 crossmember cannot be used.

the torque arm mount brackets are not the same between the m6 and the a4.
crossmembers are different as well. if i were you, i would kill two birds with one stone and get a BMR or UMI torque arm relocation kit.

it's a transmission crossmember with an integrated torque arm mount. it will also take the stress off the tail shaft of the trans which is another plus.

when doing a trans swap like this, a relocation kit would be an easy way around different t/a mounts and crossmembers.

I would be very leary on buying the transmission crossmember relocation bracket unless you are going to take dynamat or some kind of rubber and put it between the body and the mount. By doing this you eleveate some of the road noise the relocation crossmembers are infamious for. Furthermore, if you arent lauching it at the strip its not really necessary. Contradicting that though, some members have broke the tailshaft housing on a M6 car. So knowing what you now know hopefully it clears up your decision.

The Cross Members are different, and I would find a T56 Boot, they are everywhere..

Honestly after driving a M6 F-Body I hate the Transmission moving up and down, so I would move the Torque Arm off of it. I have a UMI Performance Tunnel Brace mounted on, so it's no where near the Tranny.
