Default tranny question

Does anyone know if the earlier t56's out of a lt1 car have the mc problem? Since they use a slave cylinder instead of the t.o.b.? In my project i can use either clutch setup and was wondering if the slave cylinder guys have the same problem.

The LT1's seem to have a much more reliable, less troublesome clutch release system. They do use a slave and throwout bearing though. I'm just curious how you can use either the LT1 or LS1 t56 in your car since they're pretty much application specific. The input shafts are different between the two.

I'm installing in an older car, and they sell an adaptor plate to mate an ls1 t56 to an old style gm scattershield. This would let me use another method on the clutch, i could even go with the old reliable z bar mechanical pedal.

Ok, yeah, that should work. I thought you meant you were going to use your LT1 T56 with an LS motor.
