Default nasty clunk

Everytime I shift into 1st then back in neutral and let the clutch out fast, I hear a pretty nasty clunk. It happens everytime, not moving either. What could it be?

I'd take a guess at the transmission mount.

It's a little rubber mount on the transmission crossmember. Takes about 10 minutes to get it out to inspect it.
If it's busted, get a poly one instead, and you won't have that problem any more.

Its probably just a combination of the clutch grabbing hard and the input shaft spinning up suddenly.
