Default What you guys think??

My sixth gear was messing up not alowing me to go into 6th. So my tranny guy got it all torn down. he noticed that the pads on the fork fell off and i kept beating on it and worn a grove or slot on the fork. Well i know im replacing that no biggie. But the gear is rounded off i guess, he told me he was going to go to a higher source but said he was going to ask his boss if they could file my gear because 6th is not a big power gear.

I was hoping i dont have to replace the gear cuz he said i would have to replace the gear and the sycro, if the gear is bad.

So you think its possible to just getting away with filing the gear and just replacing the fork???

thxs guys

You can 'clean them up" if they are salvagable. Really have to see it to make a judgement call. If it is that tore up prolly be wise to just replace the speed gear.
