Need help from the T-56 guys OK I can get a Lt1 6 speed cheap, so what do I need to do to put it in a Ls1 car? I know that I need bellhousing, slave, clutch, console, pedals, I've also heard that the ECM needs to be reflashed. I also heard that you have to change the input shaft? Can you even change the input shaft since one is borg-warner and one tremac? Any info appericated..also if one of you guys have a setup at a resonable cost let me know I don't have any cash but I may have some stuff to trade.

As far as the transmissions go, the input is different and the front adapter plate is also different. The adapter plate on the LT1 tranny is set up for a fork/external slave and the LS1 is made to accept the internal slave. You can change the input shaft. The earlier LS1 trannys also had Borg Warner on the case...theres really no difference.
