What are you guys doing for your rebuilds for track use? 6500 clutch dumps? Have a friend that is going to do it but he will just build with the peices I provide him and I am really not sure what all is needed. Not unlimitied budget but not wanting it to fail. I have not been to the track in over 8 years with this car (since it was stock) and slowly trying to build it for track use since fuel prices are stupid. Thanks guys.

Depending on how much power the car makes, he could probably just get by with a steel 3/4 fork, bronze fork pads, and billet 3/4 syncro keys. While its appart I'd go ahead and install a set of carbon blockers as well. You may as well go ahead and install some new syncro assemblies as well...atleast the 1/2 and 3/4.

If its an earlier t56, 2nd gear is prone to break the engagement teeth off. The later style is stronger. The mainshaft then becomes the weak link but it should be fine up to about 650-700 rwtq. At that point he could upgrade to the 30 spline viper output shaft.

We keep most of that stuff here in stock.
