Default Best slave cyc

This will be my fifth slave cyc and I'm tired of taking the tranny out.
3 gm slaves and this last one was from orielys.
I have also put two master cyc in it and the car only has 72k on it.
It does have a tex OZ700 in it now any advice would help.

fluid gets dirty then starts leaking from bell housing shortly after. They have all went out in the last 15k miles. When the master goes bad the pedal goes dead when the slave is bad it wont shift good but the pedal feels ok until I go racing.

What kind of masters were they, factory? If you havemn't already you should check out one of the adjustable aftermarket ones. The leaking from the bell housing sounds like either the line from the master to the slave isn't connected well, or maybe like your bleeder screw was open a bit causing the fluid just to rush out everytime you pushed down the clutch peddle. Fluid getting dirty, well i know it can get dirty pretty quick. I know theres a link i saw on here a guy showing how dirty fresh fluid can get after a few passes at the track.

I am fixing to check the bleeder screw and the connection now but the master have always been gm and i did the drill mod every time. This slave has been in the car for close to a year with no problems until now.

You should check out the Tick Performance adjustable master cylinder. I don't run it, but it looks like it works 10 times better than factory.

I'm sure as soon as I replace the slave next week the master will go out then I'll give it a try.

How do you know the slave is bad? Was it leaking again? Are you sure there isn't any air in the line?

Its leaking hydro fluid from the dust hole at the bottom of the bellhousing. I checked the bleder screw and the connection and they were both dry. I usually drive it longer when it starts doing this but with the tex clutch in it I dont want to risck it.

You sure its brake fluid? Did you ever change your pilot bearing when you did your clutch?

new one with the new motor the only thing thats different is that spec sent me a spacer to go behind the slave when I was having problems with the last clutch. Its still in there but I couldn't tell a difference in clutch feel with or without it.

just put a new slave in it this weekend and it drives like a new car again. the slave I took out looked good but there was fluid all over the inside of the bellhousing. I drained the whole system and replaced with dot 4 so I hope that makes the fluid last a little longer.
