Any 4l80e builders in WI. or IL. ? Hey guys, i'm looking to get a 4l80e built for a project, I would REALLY like to find someone/somewhere within Wisconsin or Illinois to do the work.
Details of what the trans needs to survive...
1,000 WHP
8,200 RPM
Car weighs roughly 3,300
Car will see a dragstrip from time to time but will be primarily beat on during highway outings
It's going to be a BITCH to fit but i think it will be better then trying to highway drive with a TH400 and 3.67 rear gear.
Other option would be a TH400 and a 3.26 rear (tallest gear i can get) I don't think this setup would make the TH400 very "happy" @ 70mph with a 315/35/18 in back
Any constructive thoughts or opinions are welcome
