They tried to give me 13% on my new Cobalt and I have a credit score over 700. They tried to get there employee discount back with interest in my case. I went to my credit union and got 5% no questions asked.

PSJ- It varies with the vehicle. GMBuyPower.com should have the rates listed for each vehicle. GMAC was offering 6.9% when I bought the GTO last month. My credit union gave me 4.74%.

working at a pontiac dealer I will offer my advice. When you go to the dealer, have your banks interest rate with you. They should be able to beat it - esp. witha 720 beacon. So the finance guy doesn't make any interest on you - big deal, he still gets paid for having the deal bought. The bank will still make a point of interest on you if you call them or the dealer calls them - most banks, finance companies, etc all have a rate sheet that beacon scores fall into, and they don't vary by a whole lot. Example 700 Beacon IR - 3.9 to 6.0
770 beacon IR - 2.49 to 5.49
I hope this helps
