Southern Il Street races. At benton, Il on october 20th they will have another street car shootout...
there will be 3 classes and each class has to make a 30mile cruise as soon as the pace car hits the gate you have 5 minutes to be in the gate....
its always fun and its a riot every time

What time does it Start? I just did mapquest and benton is only 2 hours away.. My car is only stock But i would love to come.. Always wanted to do a cruise type thing.. Just need to know if i should call off work or maybe work half a day.

The cruise usually starts around 7-7:30. Good idea to be there an hour ahead of time to get registered because this one will be packed. Supposed to be some pretty badass cars coming from as far away as Alabama.

what the hell??? have i ever seen any of you guys at this track before??? i am there ALOT. didnt know there was anyone up there that was on ls1tech.
last race a 6.8 won the STREET RADIAL class. i think a high 5 something won the drag radial class. pretty sweet. the winner of the street tire class was a ls1 powered 79 z28 with a rear mount turbo setup.

i think i might have it close by this weekend... im gonna try to make it up to i57 this friday or saturday or sunday... not sure but its getting close...

I've got a black SS w\ stock wheels and I don't think I have seen you at I57 b4. I have only been in the area since january. I know I have talked to you on this forum you're running like a 402 or something right? Anyway I'll see you there tomorrow if you go.

yeah ill be there for sure tomorrow night unless something out of the ordinary happens...
i got a blown 408.... ill be making some shake down passes... should be fun none the less
