is there anyway to sell a car without registering the car in your name?

What state is it titled in? Have you already signed the title? (Disclaimer: you do know this is illegal right?)

Did you sign the title when you bought it? if so, you gotta fill out some paperwork to get it all straightened out that your selling it . I've had to do that before but my old boss used to sell cars back in the day and he had an extra form. If you didn't sign the title, technically its illegal to sell it without signing it and registering it, but hey.....This is America

yes i know its illegal and i did sign the title. what kind of form do you have to get. its in mo.

From my understanding, you would have to get a form showing that you signed the title in error and never took posession of the vehicle. The previous seller would have to sign it and then reassign it to the new purchaser.

It's called an afidavit. You might be able to find it online. That is how it's done in Indiana. Not sure about your state.

yea thats what it is in Illinois too. I just couldn't think of the name
