Default Getting replacement key from dealer?

How does one go about getting a spare key for a car, like the hatch key? What do they ask for when you go to get one?

They usually ask for the vin number if you dont have the original. Most dealers will want proof of ownership and a Drivers liscence thats matchs.

Thanks I just called the closest GM dealer and he said the same thing, license + registration, <$10 for a non-ignition key.

Not a bad price, considering it is from a dealer. Of course, you will then have a duplicate or two made at a keymaker, right? LOL.
