Default How strict is Byron on tech???

Thinking about heading to Byron tomorrow. Up until now, I was just going to ride with and watch, but my dad's tranny took a **** at the last moment. I'd like to take my car, but we cut the driveshaft loop off (Spohn chassis mount TA) trying to get my f#cking QTP y-pipe to fit, and I haven't had a chance to weld the damn thing back on. I don't want to tow my car 4 hours and then not get to even make a pass. In the past at Tri-State they've always wrote 'stock' on the tech card and not even looked at it, even though it runs 11's.
So do they look the cars over with a fine toothed comb? Any help would be very appreciated! Please post ASAFP! Thanks!

Thank you. Damn that was quick! On a whole different topic, what muffler options do you have on your in-house true duals? I like the sound of my Borla, but I'm not going to spend more $$ to get a Y to fit properly. Do you offer your custom systems in aluminized or only stainless? Would probably be looking at getting it done in the spring.
Thanks again!

standard X systems are alumanized and use Dynomax Bullets

Magnaflows can be substituted for approx $30 each

Are you referring to the dumped or over the axle duals? I'd be going with the over the axle exhaust.

Byron is great for that, they don't give two ***** about anything lol.

i've always joked you could run a pro stock car in shorts and a t shirt with no helmet there

everytime i've gone we pull up the tech and they are like you have helmet? i'm like yup. they say how fast is this thing? i say i dunno?? they say ok thanks for coming out today have fun, and off i go.

Any good runs guys? Andy said the track was crazy crowded, worst he's ever seen.

I'm thinking GLD Wednesday night, I have to see if the Formy is going to do good things.

Couldn't find a trailer in time, so the car stayed home. Only saw 2 LS1 f-bodies: LASTLS1 and his bad *** WS6, and a NBM SS on juice that went 10.1 at about 130 (if I remember correctly). Didn't get a chance to talk to the SS owner, but damn LASTLS1 I loved your car and wish I would've gotten a chance to see you make a full pass (I left at noon Sunday).
