OUCH!! Now you can do the aftermarket 12 bolt, Dana 60 or 9" you really wanted...I feel your pain, only I did that with aftermarket gears and a bad install. Good luck with it.

Six speed, I'd go with a nine inch instead of a 12 bolt.

Ive allways been told to go 9 inch if its a 6 speed car, the 12's start to whine.

I have a summers brothers 12 bolt behined a summers brothers forged steel driveshaft behined what I am pretty sure is a fairly well built TH-400 (pretty sure the first and second gears are regeared). It seems angry with me that I am not beating on it harder, no whines, nothing. I feel a lot better with it then the old car with the stock 4L60E and 10 bolt.

You will fell better when you get something stronger in there.

Go 9" for sure. One of the best mods ever, once its in there you know you can do anything and it will comeback for more. O and nice carnage.

My 12 bolt whines but granted it is 3 years old and running good still. Check out Vicary's 9" that he makes in Pekin. It looks like a good affordable unit.

NICE

That looks like how my mustang looked. 4.10's, 8.8 and DRs though

Man i tore the spider gears, carrier, axle splines and the ring and pinion was all chewed.. Guess where at?? US41 in the right lane

to be honest i was sort of hoping that my 6 speed 10 bolt was going to blow 2 weeks ago at GLD.. sort of glad it didnt that would have been an expensive tow. I want a 9" but when i was launching i knew that my slipping clutch was not going to blow it up... I jsut can not fathome spending all that moeny jsut yet for a 9" when my 10 bolt is still perfectly in tact. Does not even make 1 single whine

That sucks! The pile of parts looks like the one I had, but without all of the springs and plates that fell out with the parts. M6, 17" Nitto's and a 3000rpm dump. Oh well just got it back today.
