Default Need tig welder in Chicago.

I have a small crack developing on my turbo manifold that i want to tig up before in starts to leak. Its in an easy spot on the top of the manifold and im pretty sure can be fixed with out taking it off the car. Is there anyone around Chicago that i could drive my car to when its nice out and have that welded up? Shoot me a pm and a price.

Alex

FWIW it may be possible to weld in the car but to do it properly the ends of the crack need to be drilled.

The drilling of the ends wont be a problem, the part that is cracking is right on top and very easy to get to with the fuel lines and the coil pack off on the driver side. I know how to weld just dont have a welder.
Thanks for the heads up.

He does some awesome fabrication...

ok i'll call you bro.

shouldn't be a big deal, can do it with the part on the sled, i'll bring it by on the trailer. just a 1/4" hole in a tube in the heat exchanger on the back, had a little incident with a nasty wheelie last weekend and dragged the back end on the ground kinda hard

As long as I can get to it and it can be cleaned 100% it shouldn't be a problem.

oh yah, its extremely accessible, nothing will be in the way at all. i'll remove the gas tank repair putty i put on it. its not leaking while it runs on the trailer but i don't trust that **** permanently. we like to cross open water out on the chain/fox river and last thing i need is it popping loose half way through a 400 foot water hole

Hey man I see that project in your sig. Did you ditch that Typhoon project and decide to do the Z06? Eitherway they will both be amazing

Goodluck man
