Hey Nate, you know have .082 PTV on the intake side on your LT motor and .091 on exhaust. Laying back the intake valve pocket gained ous .050, I never touched the exhaust we were always good. I will have Al touch up all 7 now.

So what kind of flow #'s will he get out of Al's job compared to an LE, AI, or AFR's? I'd like to know what he would charge for a P&P, but don't want anyone to get in trouble.

Well, I know AFR's do well for stock cammed 5.0s. Hmm, I'll have to read some things I guess. A lot of people say just do ported stockers and they are plenty for most people.

Zach,

A 160 thermostat STARTS to open at 160*, it doesn't open completely until ~170-175* I run them in almost all of my cars. The RX7 stays at ~175-180* with the hypertech unit.

Welds are mostly cleaned up on the hotside now. Downpipe is in place, starting on the cold side now...

Progress is looking good!

Aren't hypertech 160* just reboxed thermostats right? Just like SLP and others. I forgot who made them, but some are just reboxed.

Drew,

Motorad makes the Hypertech and SLP stats, yes.

Joe,

It's a mutt. '02 5.3L bottom end (iron block), pan is off a '
98 Camaro, water pump is off an '02, heads are Vinci stage 2.5s off an '02, cam is a custom grind.

I'm dropping in Katech rod bolts and a ported/shimmed oil pump next week.

Don't make the mistake the stripper actually likes you. Unless she was giving you free lap/couch dances, she's in it for the cash.

Remember what SDB says......"Strippers aren't real people."
