Anyone know the status of the track they were going to put up in Fort Wayne?

I know they had a lot of money and were going to spend it on what ever the most popular vote was online, and the overwhelming majority voted to the drag strip to be put up. But its been a while and I haven't heard anything since.

Anyone know anything?

Quick update !!!. We are still moving forward to make this a reality. It may seem like a long and drawn out process to a lot of you. Just remember that a project of this size and scope takes time , planning , and a lot of cooperation to get to the finish line. Thank you for your continued support.

Not yet. Not looking like it will happen soon, either. Starting two weeks of 12 hour shifts this Saturday. Really on the fence about the car. Part of me wants to get rid of it. Part of me wants to ditch nitrous and go FI. Part of me want to do a more radical NA setup. My biggest gripe on the car is the torque converter. Way too tight NA, but good on the spray. Might do a combination. More NA power and less spray. Single plane, port the heads, more NA-type cam, and only use 125 or 150 shot. Don't drive the car anyway. A sane person would sell it....

Seems to be a lot easier to dial in the converter when using nitrous if you have a TH400 or PG....as opposed to a 4 speed auto. Sell the 4L60E and converter, do a TH400 and contact Neal Chance about a converter and run 9.50's

or sell it because your wont have as much fun as in the past and not many cars to race from a dig against your setup anymore and going to the track is time consuming and not fun.

Just priced out 2013 Ford mustang GT500 and GT....almost $25k difference!

$68,710 for loaded GT500 and over $44,000k for loaded GT.

I wonder if Ford realizes these are Mustangs and not BMW's!

Was looking for a fun daily driver, guess its not going to be a GT500! Very cool looking cars but damn...thats almost Z06 price.

I agree they are pricey but is there any other car out there that makes 650hp and goes 200+ for less money from the factory?

Scott, hopefully you aren't driving it much just because of work, or that it hasn't been warm enough in a while, and not that you don't enjoy it anymore. Having an expensive fast car that isn't driven, or driven fast is a complete waste.

I say you should leave the thing on the spray, and have it stay nasty!

Any way you go, I hope you get some enjoyment out of your investement this summer!

Got the tranny ripped out of the Formula currently. I shipped it out to a buddy on the east coast who opened it up last night. It was in bad shape (but not as bad as I originally thought). Having it re-built, and upgraded with the Viper internals

It still isn't going to be anything crazy fast (as much as 441 RWHP can do). But, at least it will be fun to drive again, and I can get it out more this summer.

SDB, you always joke like you "might" get another car, but then always have excuses why in the end you didn't go through with it. This has gone on for years now. Just go buy something already!!

Def wont be buying a new Mustang GT500! Maybe a daily driver...but damn...almost $70K for one...unreal...

I agree with 911, dont sink more money in the motor...got enough power to run mid maybe low 9's....just get it sorted out.
