Oh hell yeah you do. I think thats gotta be the first time I saw a LSX intake behind a stock lid! Way to go though, looks like there is still work to go, but congrats!

Thumbs up

Its only the 78mm intake and a ported and polished tb, im going to do some modifying and work to the lid myself to see how it works, i belive the only difference between the aftermarket lids and the stock one are the fins in the inside that trap air, which can easliy be ground out...i just put what i had on there to get it going again...

yes, there is some more work to be done, actually just got alot done today, having someone do the body work and its going to be done in a couple days, then its off to the paint shop!!!

thanks for the reply's guys!

dont forget that an after market like not only has no fines in it.. its alittle bigger to allow more air in there and it emilimates the air silencer and it makes it a pirfect circle striehgt to the throttle body instead of having to pass threw that restrictive oval they call a hole!.. but i cant talk i did the grinding thing to my stock one too till i finally just bought one

Question

i have a couple options i have a guy doing the bodywork right now that im trying to talk into paying it but if he decides not to, then its goin for the good ol' maco job...which ive heard many diff. opinoins about but mostly everyone ive spoke to about them says they lack in body work, they're spraying is good, considering thats what they do for a living, but they offer a 3 year warranty so if i dont like it, its goin right back. lol

I've seen people have great bodywork skills, get a car all fixed up and sent off to maco and its a nightmare when they got them back...I have 3 friends that did the maco thing all of them were unhappy, 2 went back ones still unhappy and the others okay with it.

Im not knocking it just giving you feed back, its sucks to do all that bodywork, then have to sand all over again.

Car seems to run great congrats!
