Default Who in Chicago is running e85?

Im planning on doing the conversion in a couple weeks. I just got done with the new turbo instal (tc78) and the versa fueler and 83lbers.

Just wondering who around Chicago is running it and their general experience with it. Gas mileage, how easy is it to find and what ever else you would like to comment on.

Thanks
Alex

****, E-85 is at every pump almost around here. In fact gas city is changing how they have their pumps setup. Now at the main pumps its going to be 87, E85, 92 and the midgrade is where E85 used to be(side pump near the kerosene).

Now, you get less MPG with E85, but better performance.

WOW. I can not wait for the tune. Im going from 93 to e85 and a 67mm to a 78mm turbo and i fixed a little crack in my log that was leaking. So if i could possibly gain 100whp that would be great!

I run e85 in both my saturn and trans am. Im here in schaumburg and i really just fill up at the gas city here. The saturn can run on e85, regular or any mix of the 2 so if i have to put regular in its fine.

Gas mileage is just slightly less in the saturn, i mean like at most lost like 4 mpg or 10%.

The trans am is higher compression and tuned for it with more timing as well. Dont know the mileage before but its not terrible. Probably making a solid 75 rwhp more than i could on pump gas.

Only thing is you will have to clean your fuel filter often as its a dirty fuel. I do once every month or so, most people do it with every oil change.

Yes i am. the midwest is know to have more E85 pumps than anywhere else.

The less miles is balenced out by the cheaper price+better performance.

You would probably find the Delphi or RX Disc injectors to be more manageable than the Siemens DEKA 1 injectors on your LSX motor b/c of the spray pattern ...
The disc injectors are E85 compatible with SS bodies. The Delphi Multec 1 and Siemens DEKA 1 are not.
