Competent engine machine shop needed in Indy area Looking for a competent machine shop that is capable of torque plate honing an LS2 block to exacting specs to match my custom Wiseco pistons with the proper cross hatch finish (I want each cylinder honed to match a particular piston), and hone them so they are straight and round; decking an LS2 block to exactly 9.230" and be dead flat, dead true and dead square and with a finish of 50RA or better, and line honing the mains. Not at all looking for an "everyday" machine shop that will simply take my block, machine it to "good enough" and send me on my way. I am looking for a machine shop that is willing and will take the time to get everything PERFECT.
Somewhere in the Indianapolis area is preferred. This is for my '02 Z06 that I am completely rebuilding this winter. I have already tried Steve Schmidt Racing Engines and they do not have a torque plate for LS blocks (and neither they or me want to spend the $600 for an LS torque plate that I or they will never use again.)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TIA!
