Thumbs up Used shortblock for sale: $1,000.00

Used shortblock for sale: $1,000.00 SOLD!!!
2004 LS1 alum block, stock crank, Callies Compstar rods, Diamond pistons, Total Seal Rings, Lingenfelter GT2-3 camshaft, Comp timing chain set, SLP oil pump, ARP head studs.

We leak tested it and some of the cylinders were at 18%, so there is some ring wear. The engine still made good power (over 700 rwhp) when it was removed. You could use it as is or bore out the engine and add new pistons and rings.

Here is the car is was removed from.

Approx 10,000 miles. This Z06 was used a lot of the Autobahn track in Illinois, by Rockford. The rings are worn, although the car did not blue smoke. It still was making over 700 rwhp on my Mustang dyno when we pulled the engine out. Bob

Thanks Joe, you're absolutely right. It would make Azar a good engine for my old Volvo 74o Turbo if he was ready to do it. Bob

Yes I still have it, and a lot of pm's to reply to. The compression ratio worked out to 9.5/1 with 72cc heads on it. Thanks. Bob

I'm now leaning towards pulling the motor out of my RX-7, building a real motor for it and putting my RX-7's motor in the Volvo.

Dam Bob, that's a pretty good buy for someone. I was in the market for a short block back in the spring. To bad it was not up for sale back then!

Would it be possible to just put a fresh set of rings in it? Or is that not really do able?

How do you think it would do with a new set of Rings? I am in need of a cheap shortblock.
