Sorry if that wasn't what you were looking for, but I think everyone needs to expirence bootcamp for themselves and not have all these ideas put in their head about it....it's bad enough.
If you have any ? about anything in particular, feel free to ask. I or anyone else on here I'm sure would be happy to help.

Just do what you are told to when you are told, stay motivated, keep your head up, and dont take it too seriously as in no matter what you guys do you will ahve done it wrong and will get smoked, try to have a good time.

As has already been said, do what you're told, when you're told, and faster than humanly possible. Study your knowledge. Study... study... study. When you're done, study some more. Every night, get up to the quarter-deck and practice pull-ups. Help out other recruits if you can. Don't go out of your way to draw attention to yourself. Don't put things in your footlocker that don't belong there. Pay attention during drill. Leave the damn sand fleas alone... they gotta eat too. Don't ever fall out of a run. If you suck at pugil sticks, swing 'til your arms fall off. At least you'll get credit for trying hard. Don't ever... ever... ever forget to secure your rifle to your rack. Don't let your DI find you not doing anything, 'cause he'll find something for you to do. Chances are it won't be as fun as something you'd pick yourself. Oh... and study some more.
And last... remember it's all a mind game.
Good luck,

ok thanks a bunch. i really appreciate. on my IST that i take each month at the recruiting station i did 19 pull ups...will that be sufficient enough for now? and what would you recommend studying? i already know all my general order from doing 4 years of JROTC in high school and i also know how to march pretty well. I had a Retired Master Gunny who just got out last year and he has helped me a lot with marching and knowledge and things like that. Also im not the best runner but can do the 1.5 mile without a problem. will they build me up to the 3 mile run?

as everyone else said, do as your told quickly, learn to drink water real quick too. they wont build you up to a 3 mile run. you do a 1.5 when you get there, but after thats its all 3 miles or more a day. if you want that 5811 make sure its specified on your contract and it doesent say MP and corrections, the latter means you will probably end up with a 5831 and ill see you in about 6 months if you go west coast.

Knowing your general orders is good but in all honesty you don't need to study a thing , because there are going to be guys there that don't know any of that stuff, and you will all learn as fast as the slowest learner. Everyone is brought up to speed on the same page.
Like 1sikZoh said, your initial will be a 1.5 when you get there, and three from there on out, but you don't run three miles every time you pt. There will be alot of station drills that will help you out with running, and there are alot of calistenics(sp), believe it or not but sprints actually help your distance running.
If your not a runner your not a runner, you will get better (or used to it)because you will run more often but nothing but yourself can make you faster.
Hope some of this info has helped. meps tommorrow and then your shipping out on sunday...good luck
