Default Veterans and Present Military Members FREE STUFF!!!

Just wanted to give plenty of time for fellow Veterans and current service members time to get the word out to take advantage of free meals and stuff!!!!! I've done a round robin of these places on Veteran's Day before and had lots of fun..

i plan to map out the different applebees so i can do lunch and dinner lol.

not to be cheap (well, maybe), but it would be nice if these restaurants threw in a good 20% tip to their servers so it would be a truely "complimentary" experience, and the waitstaff doesnt have the whole, "great, another vet looking for a free meal and wont tip" running through their heads. until then, TIP YOUR WAITERS EVEN IF THE FOOD AND DRINK WERE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this turns out to be one of the worst nights to work for them if the place doesnt auto-add gratuity for them, so no one wants it, the ones that get it are pissed, and we all end up with empty drinks and wrath from waitstaff in a bed mood. tip your waitstaff...

i plan to stay far away from the free places. the lines are usually insane. I would rather pay for my food and get it in a normal time frame

its all in the timing. got to be there early or late, applebees and outback stay open late, so most of the oldies have already been and the lines are shorter and the crowds younger.

golden corral this monday is a different story. dont wait till you are hungry to go. go early, be ready for storytelling from the old heads, and have a good time. this is one of the few times generational gaps are bridged. we have the ball, but even then not all the old heads can afford or want to afford ball tickets. we come outta the woodworks though for free chow...

No base near here but all the restaurants were packed and traffic was terrible. Wife and I got Outback on the 8th to get the free Onion and soft drink and they threw in a free draft beer!

I actually got to enjoy it this year being away from Fort Bragg for the first time while it applied to me. There it's impossible to get in anywhere. Got 2 meals, it was great.
