Default Divorced Soldier?

I have a Soldier who is divorced, he is just a SPC no kids. Now the question is, he bought his house. He is not renting. I know obviously he will not be getting BAH with dependent. But,will he get BAH at all?
I was told to check with AR 600-99 but, Google Chrome doesn't pull up anything at all for that matter not sure if that is even the correct reg. Any help whatsoever will be greatly appreciated.

Nope... he can get a waiver or something from his 1sg or commander maybe that will allow him to get something but it will not be much. I was at Hood and only single E5 and above could live off post... SPCs could do it with a waiver...

cool thanks for the quick reply. Do you know where it states this? Is AR 600-99 even correct for this? I don't think its an actual AR because there is nothing for it.

I know depending on the situation in the B's with command approval PFC and above are authorized partial BAH. I have a guy going through the motions now I will try and find the AR for it.

^ This...

I dont believe there is an actual AR for it... its pretty much up to the COC. If he is authorized with a memorandum signed by commander or ???, he will get a percentage of BAH but Im not sure on BAS... I assume BAS would be based off the same percentage as the single soldier BAH...

Try 608-99, but like everyone else said run it by your 1SG/Commander.

Finance on lewis gives partial (single) rate to single soldiers of any rank with a mortgage in lieu of a barracks room/oph. Local regulations may vary.

Check 1-7, but I doubt that he get's it approved because its soldiers responsibility, put him to study and send him to the board so he can be more eligible.

Maybe things have changed but when I was in the Air Force once we were living off base and getting BAS & BAH they didnt make you move back into the dorms if you got divorced. Atleast I never heard or saw that happen but hat was the AF and I got out in 08.

Yeah that is new to me too. Once you got off base you didn't come back to housing on that post. Well anyway thanks for all the help. I'd like to send him to the board but, the dude can't run for **** and failed his run on the APFT. So that right there is a no go.

When I got divorced I was able to keep my bah. I had to fight for it for awhile. But I was able to prove that it would cause an undue financial hardship if the army took my bah. So they continued to give it to me. Basically I had to show that I had my house for awhile and that do to the economy I would loose money if I sold it.
