Default Separation/ car shipping?

I didn't make Tech(E6) so I'm getting the boot after 15yrs. of service in the 2MO world in Jan 17... terminal leave starts in mid December. I'm single and need to ship a Firehawk I'm buying in a few weeks (other vehicle can't tow it). Do to the unpredictable winter weather in Montana having it shipped is more optimal.

Has anyone shipped their car? if so, what carrier did you use? How was the over all experience ? Yes Im aware that I'll be paying out of pocket

About on pg 3 or so of this forum is a thread from Angels Transport. They give military discounts. I believe the owner is retired military.

When I shipped my car from MT to MN I just google and found tons of brokers and just called for quotes and asked if they could do it in my time frame. I had it picked up within 2 days of the call and cost me 450 to bring it about 1000 miles.

I had 3 quotes from MT to NY,TX &FL.. all 3 for enclosed shipping were $1800-$2k. Car is too low to the ground for the normal open trailers. Separation pay will be paying the bill either way. Unless I can find a job at Hill afb, then I'll just drive the 8hrs.

I have transported the car 2 times already, because I have already moved to other countries 2 times and I had to use transportation services. 1 of these services brought me a very poor quality car and it was all scratched. 2 time I did not risk it and was looking for another service. But then I found the website of a company that deals with vehicle winter moving and they brought me a car very efficiently and very quickly. The site has a lot of reviews and a lot of satisfied people who have used this service and did not regret it, just like me. I was able to order a carriage for myself and I am very glad that now I know such a good service and will help to order another carriage for myself when I move.
