anyone here know there whereabout of Lt. Kimo Hollingsworth?
I searched for "Kimo Hollingsworth" on Marine Online and found one hit: HOLLINGSWORTH, KIMO S, LtCol-type, and intel officer in the reserves. Hit me up on PM and let me know if this is the guy you're looking for.

As for me, I'm a Sgt of Marines stationed at MCAS Cherry Point. More deployed time than I'd like to remember, but this is my home for now. Meeting with the career jammer next week. Hopefully everything goes well. I want to deploy again, but they keep telling me no.

Congrats on the promotion! You should be pinning it on Monday, right? Being a Sgt is a hell of a lot different than being a Cpl. You'll love it!

I was with the 820th Red Horse deployed to U.A.E. for 6 months in 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. We were getting ramped up to deploy to Iraq when I was "voluntold" for this assignment. Yes I would have rather gone to Iraq.

I've been in the Navy roughly 2 years, I'm an Aviation Electrician (Avionics). I'm currently on shore duty in Norfolk VA working at AIMD. I leave in October for A school again, I'm changing my job to Air Traffic Controller, gonna extend a few more years, get out, and hopefully work for the FAA.

Thanks man, but no they didn't pin me on Monday. They waited until Friday afternoon so we could go straight from the ceremony to the party at the house.

For all of the Marines out there, MSG duty absolutely ******* rocks, it is worth another four years.

Just left there six months ago. I hope you like rolling hills and muddy water.
It's not that bad. Manhattan is a decent small city and it's all what you make of it. Definitely check out Harry's Restaurant in Manhattan and get the Filet Mignon Royale. 22 of the best dollars you'll ever spend.
If you want to enjoy your experience at Ft Riley, forget that Junction City exists and conduct all your business in Manhattan.
Shoot me a PM if you have any Q's.

Been in the Army for 9 months as a 13F, a Forward Observer, so to break it down into Marine's terms (sorry, oh wait... no not really) I call for fire and tell the 155mm and 105mm Howitzers where to shoot, the most deadly force upon the battle-field, which doesn't count for **** in Iraq where I will be manning a M240B on a gun truck (wtf?). Supposidly going in October, but then again according to the original plan we should have been coming back in December from a 1 year tour. Anyway, all joking aside if you are in any branch of the military more power to you, even if you are a jarhead (heh heh heh). Went from E1 to E3 in 9 months, not bad eh?
