Good luck! Keep your head low and your mouth shut! If they still have it, volunteer to be a church monitor (or whatever they call it)!

Good job choice. Make sure you dont have an "open general" either. With that you will end up like me in Security Forces..

Jet guys on -135's don't do much since they got rid of TF-33's but you could go somewhere else and hate it. Also I notice that a lot of jet guys are the ones getting in trouble with drugs and other stupid ****. Use your head thats all I got to say.

Have fun paying for that GTO for the first year...

I almost threw up when I saw my first check in basic. I thought I was going to loose my car. A good year of having almost nothing...

HAWAIIBOYSZ--Hasn't basic been extended?

ive heard about the M16 stuff, and moving warrior week. but what makes me mad is now they dont have to fold nice little squares for clothes or use those s#!tty canteens. now they roll their clothes and they get ISSUED a camelpack.

don't go to McGuire either, stay AWAY from the KC-10's. It's a cool jet, I like it, but the jet shop are on 12's almost constantly, sometimes with no days off for a couple weeks.

Yea, basic has been totally revamped. GOOD LUCK!

What pisses me off is that I went through field training for ROTC last summer, and we had to do all the "attention to detial" and 6 inch squares. I would have loved M-16 training instead. It'll be a LONG time until they make those changes to officer training. Oh well, only a year left till I get my butter bar.

Funny...those same rumors about extending basic were around when I went through basic in early '89. It needed to be harder and longer then, and I am sure it needs to be harder and longer now!
