Thumbs up Looks like I'm going to be a SeaBee

Or, at least a "Seabee" Doc

Found out yesterday morning that my orders are changing to NMCB-40 out of Port Hueneme, CA.

I hear a deployment is imminent, so I figure I'll be in the 'sandbox' soon

Anyone else here stationed up there?

I always liked the SeeBees.

They always treated the Marines well so we would return the favor.

LOL. Cool John! I am currently at FT Bragg training with the Army (what fun) for a Civil Affairs deployment to Baghdad in late April. Look me up when you get there.

Yup, I'm an HMC

After some leave, looks like I'll be going through SRT and deploying shortly after.

Yeah, I like the sound of 10/6. Never got anything close to that on the ships.

Cool! I'll shoot you a PM when I get up there.

No actual sponsor yet, waiting on hard copy orders. I've already talked with the Homeport liasion and the HMC I'm replacing there.

My dad was a Seabee. He was stationed at Port Hueneme back in 76-82. After that we moved to Japan for 3 years. Then he went to Miss. then to NAS Dallas where he retired from after 26 years. My sisters husband was also a Seabee.

I deployed with the seabeas and USAF Red Horse to Guyana last year...crazy dudes!

So you are done with IDC school? Don't you Navy guys get a big bonus for that? Nothing for USAF IDMT's!

I just found out I am going to hawaii. No more EFA events for me.

Be safe!

What's up Ed!

Yup, school is done. They don't give bonus' to us old timers

You should enjoy Hawaii, other than the expense.

Damn, was hoping you'd get those big bucks!

I found out they are closing the track on Oahu, that stinks...

I used to fly med-evac from Yokota to Hickam, spent a lot of time there. It is a nice area.

Sorry to hear you aren't coming back to VA, I know Joey and some of the guys were hoping you'd get Norfolk.
