Living in the Barracks sucks, because of field day. Im getting approved for BAH/BAS....$1k more a month and about half that im pocketing....so long barracks life!!!

Oh man, I love the barracks, and drinking in the barracks on the internet. Well, my current barracks is a 7 bedroom/8 bathroom 3 story mansion with a billiards room, a full bar, ping pong table, full gym, three big screen tv's, a halfcourt basketball court, voleyball court, and every bedroom has a fairly large balcony. The only thing we lack is beer on tap. We also have a maid/cook and get driven around everywhere. MSG duty rocks. I have to gloat every once in a while.
Oh, and all the bars are within easy walking distance from the "barracks" as well.
And Slovenian girls are great in bed.

yeah i know the feeling when i was out there i had my own house 3 stories a single snco with a 3 bedroon house. a maid and my own car. aaahhhh the good life other than that when i was a pvt- cpl i lived in a squad bay and fieldday blew ***. but not anymore.

If nothing else, it sucks because they are run down buildings with lots of bugs, no weatherstripping, and base controlled heating and air. It really sucks when they turn on the heater in December and turn it off in June. The barracks will always suck. Well, maybe not for the air force guys. How are your buildings? Are they on the verge of being condemed as well?

We got it pretty good sice we are a shore duty command. I have heard horror stories from every branch though.
Air force barracks are damn nice from what I hear.
