It's about the best place that you want be down there. I was there for OIF 05-07 (last year)

The living conditions are great. The chow hall is good. The Aussie pool is nice for eye candy. The Liberty PX is right down the road and it has EVERYTHING. Even steaks for BBQing. You get a mortar here and there, but nothing to worry about. The facilities are well protected with T-walls and Hescos.

Watch out for the barber shop on Victory, some of their blades are missing teeth and that **** hurts. I would go to Camp Slayer, but I think that has been turned over to the IA.

yeah i have not been there since the start of the war. so when i was there i never lived in a base just out in the field no phones, internet or showers so it could be different this time

Im on Liberty myself and its chill out here. the thing that get me though is its so damn GARRISON. I MEAN extreme. Hopefully i cant get out of here in august when im suppost to but still dont know yet.

There is nothing opsec about saying your anywhere. I'm on camp liberty or more specifically at log base seitz annex inside liberty on a pc on shitty satellite internet.

They just rebuilt the barber shop by the big PX, its nice and big now, with all new equipment. $3 haircuts ???. Sucks at my little FOB, but main post is nice and the DFAC is immaculate.

I went back and forth from there for two years, its ok there. Last I heard they were working on some system to intercept incoming before they cross the walls. Dont know if they perfected that or not yet. I have a friend that works there behind Antenna Hill for the Majors. He is Halliburton and deals with all kinds of everyone.

They gyms are pretty nice around there, better than my FOB was!
