need some advice possibly moving to lewis im currently deployed to iraq.i will be back in the states twards the end of the year "sometime", but will be moving to ft. lewis around may-june of next year. i just have a few questions about the area. im from yakima but never ventured out to the "big city". lol. well i was wondering where you guys get your cars tuned? and if there are very many performance shops and which ones do you recommend? oh, and i was wondering about the areas around ft. lewis, if you know of any good areas to raise a family. im on a lower middle class (E-5) budget. if you could give me any pointers or in-site it would be extremely helpful, thanks in advance.

Puyallup is pretty nice, about 10-15 miles from Lewis, if you want real cheap stuff, Lakewood has it, but it's kinda dirty in areas. I was at McChord 4 years ago, so things might have changed.
