I would have rather went back the Iraq then come here to Curacao. The only good thing about this place is the $105 per day per diem

What's so bad about curacao? I wouldn't complain about anywhere if I was making $105 a day per diem. My buddy just got tasked for a 365 to Iraq and has to do 10 weeks of training before that. Poor bastard!

To me this isn't a deployment; it's a joke. You can only dive, sit on the beach, and chase so much *** before you get burnt out. Don't get me wrong I would stay just for the money but other than that this place can sink in the ocean. Honestly the reason I think I hate is so much is because our management here in the fire dept is a bunch of worthless guard ***** that don't know a damn thing. I'm not bashing the guard but these guys are a idiots

Man, I would work with the biggest group of idiots in the world if I could sit on the beach and chase much *** and get paid over a hundred bucks a day. I do agree about most of the guard guys. I was deployed with a bunch of them and it's like they don't get the least bit of training before they come.

im pretty sure id work inside of an erupting volcano for an extra 105 a day, but then take away the volcano, add sand, sexy bitches, and you got yourself a sweet setup.

Seriously if you're crying about a curacao deployment you should be drug outside and beaten with a wiffle bat! That is a great deployment! Would you rather be making less money with longer work hours and no women in the sandbox? We do have a saying in the Navy though, "A bitching sailor is a happy sailor."Marty
