I think its a crock, half of the **** they block from over here, makes no sense to be blocked. Why would they block 1320video.com and streetfire? And before one of you say "shouldnt be browsing while at work" all of this stuff is blocked from the morale computers as well.
Its one thing to block people from ****(which I could care less about) but simple websites?

the USAF already said why they block YouTube, Streetfire, and 1320video.com.
These website pull an eXTREMELY high amount of bandwidth from the servers. And if you've got say 5-10+ computers on the base doing this, you can imagine the backlog and the slowness of the networks.
There IS a reason why....the military doens't usually do policy changes for "no" reason.

Category of Blocked URL: Personal Pages
Requested URL: 1320video.com
....Oh yeah it does say that since I just copied it....
I can get to 1320 and streetfire from work at home. Unless they blocked them both in the 30+ days I have been tdy, and they might have.
Supposedly photobucket and myspace and youtube are blocked for "security reasons". Military doesnt want pics and vids going up on where you are, but they were all about it when it was getting good press...typical. Did any of you get that bogus email about the myspace issue somewhere in the AOR? Supposedly someone blogged about a bomb that went off, and that "they missed by xxx feet" then they got bombed again EXACTLY at that spot.
I'm wondering if the terrorist was on his friendslist, to know that the exact person was there and made that blog. Unless someone changes their zipcode to IRAQ and terrorist are on myspace all day looking for friends, there would be no real way to know who is over there.
Tons of sites get blocked for "auctions" and you cannot go to craigslist(wtf) but Ebay has and will probably always be unblocked.

They also try to block all chat rooms and forums. Strangely LS1tech is the ONLY Camaro forum site I can actually get to using computers on base.
