Yea, I went through there twice with my convoy commander back in '05. I was contract not military. Not much to see there but it was the hub for us to get our mail at the time until we switched to getting it at Arifjan in Kuwait and just bringing it across. Stay safe and keep the sand out of your socks.

i went to Camp Bucca several times. I was at a British Camp (Umm Qasr) south of there. We liked going to Bucca to get supplies other than that we were happy to leave.

I was at Al Asad for my IA assignment and ran into some Navy IA guys coming out of Bucca when I was re-deploying through Arifjan.

They acted like it was the most hardcore place in the history of warfare, and NOBODY had it as hard as them.

My more realistic friends here at NAS just said it sucks. I believe them.

Do you ever see British Commando's and a couple Marines come once in a while? We use to come to Bucca for supplies once a month now my buddy is out there doing the same.
