Nothing special here. Cam threads are so popular I figured I would post this up for anyone searching. I will add more as I get time.

sounds good my car has bullets on it too. I was thinking of 224 for my car how bad is it to drive with the stock stall and the 60e i have an 80e i think it will stall a little more than a 60e stock to stock

I did a 3200 converter first, then cam later, then changed to a Yank ss4000 recently. However, with the exception of the cam needing just a tad higher idle, low end power is like stock. A perfect DD cam IMO. I know a 6 speed guy that has a 222/222 with about the same lift and when he test drove it he commented on the fact that he lost no low end power.

since the OP doesn't have the stock stall i'll answer this lol i recently put in a TR227/224 in my camaro with the stock stall, only annoying thing right now is i have to help the car find the idle and then at stops i 2 step it to keep it alive . . . other than that it runs good

I have had this cam for over a year. The car has been tuned for hours and hours over its lifetime with HPTuners My tuner is a local friend so we spend time and make sure its perfect. The 12.6 was on Nitto DRs and factory Bilstien suspension. The converter hit so hard off the line I was having a lot of trouble hooking like always. Converters can be quite a handful on street tires or DRs. These vids are with the new engine and the tune hasnt been tweaked for it. It needs a bit more idle rpm I think. The track vids are the old engine.

On the basis of what? My mod list isnt in this thread, car's weight, DA for that day etc. That bobble at the start line cost me a half second in ET on that run. I post that video bc its a better video then my quicker runs that day at the track. Its an eleven second combo with this cam easy, it just takes traction.
