i know a local guy with a GT-R and like i said they are cool cars but they look HUGE in person and of the 3 i think it would be the most boring to drive unless you turn off the nannies and really push it. Just like when Top Gear did the race with the ZR1 vs. R8(V10 version) and Jeremy said that the R8 was boring and that the ZR1 was a far more fun car to drive and that's why he'd pick the ZR1

A dual clutch transmission is not an Auto. It requires you to shift therefore not an auto. That is how you get the maximum performance out of the car. It uses the same style transmission that F1 cars use. And the GT-R beat the Z06 one handed lol. Pretty crazy if you ask me.

you can see the point in the video where the z stops the pull and then proceeds to come back. just the awd. GTR is a cool car but 530hp still aint enough. besides everyone roll races now anyway.

i've rode in the 2010 gtr at an auto-x and man that thing threw u in ur seat and handled on rails, but i'd still take a z06 over it any day. If u dont get the z06 carbon package u cant beat it for the price new (75+k) or used (40+k).

That z06 has the complete ZR1 package. Yes its faster on a road course but 150 pounds heavier and 20K more expensive that a base Z06.
How about they race a base model 3100 pound Z06 at 75K against the 90K nissan..
It aint gonna trapp 123 mph in the 1/4 like this heavier one did and will hit 125 mph and shortly pass the 1/4 zip around the nissan like nothing

Killemall nailed it. The only thing holding that car back is those ******* wheels. $98k for a Vette and it better have some ******* Carbon wheels or some ****. I understand the advantage of the suspension and brakes and Carbon Fiber body panels. With those wheels though it just ruins the idea...
Also that Vette woulda stopped waaaay under a 101ft. with the brakes warmed up.

Willow springs is in California. Besides Florida its one of the warmest places in the area right now. They tested all the cars factory stock, and no car was given advantages beyond their factory features. You sound mad that the Z06 lost. Its an incredible car, it just didn't come out on top this time.

The only problem I have with the test is the use of a $98K Z06 over a $110k ZR1. I'm not sure there are many people that are going to shell out ZR1 money for a Z06. I would take any Corvette (besides the vert) over the pig that is the GTR anyway.
WWWAAYYY to much extra heft gained from the R34s (which were big to begin with) for me-

Were you there when they tested? Didn't think so...101ft isn't far off what some other tests have put it at anyway.

I hate these comparisons because they are driven by editors who honestly cant drive for **** and thus the gtr which takes no skill to drive will win every time because the z06 and the gt500 take skill to launch and drive. Especially with the gt500 I mean with all that torque down low and street tires = FAIL period. 1st and 2nd are pointless. I mean they trapped 115 in it lol that shows how bad it is.
