That is neat. I wonder if my friend David who is in San Antonio for K9 MP for the Marines would do that to his Firehawk?

nice car. Funny, SLP Plate holder and badges. I didnt know the Department paid for aftermarket parts. LOL

Probably paid it will all the money you texas guy's are paying for your speeding tickets.

Be wary guys.. the more you pay when you get caught speeding, just makes the PD that much more faster to catch you next time! LOL

Smiles everyday when I go to work...

Now...the MODS

The G2 & SLP decals...are for real, what you can't see are the iRotors and Carbotech decals on the back glass.

Lou Gigliotti was super to deal with and quickly offered to equip the car with a ton of his best stuff. It handles like a slot car, and please note: We use this car and drive it to the extreme's....every day!! Lou's parts have never left us wanting and the feeling of safety is a prime concern at 165 MPH
Props to Lou and G2

SLP is also a hard core sponsor. Our Z came equipped with the 16 inch, chrome wheels and GSC's. SLP thought the car should wear bigger 17's and that it also needed some other goodies. Jay Heath went to Ed and got his approval for the project. Thus, again...hard parts that make the car run hard .... maintenance free and driven hard, 8-10 hours a day ... What else can you ask for. Again,

The first day the car was out, it became VERY APPARENT...we could go way faster than we had the the ability to slow down. I made a couple of calls and, wa-la...iRotors sent us a set of their 'slotted only' front rotors for the unit.

Next, after consulting with resident brake dude, MitchnTX (rebel that he is..still helps the coppers)....a call to the pad guru's at Carbotech...and we have us a car that slows much better...I'm gonna save up and switch to some C5 fronts when I can afford them. Lou recommends the swap for premium perf.

In December the car was hit by a 'bad guy' wanting to get away...It sucked for timing because we had just made a deal with Thunder Racing to swap in a cam pkg. The car was out of commission for about 5 weeks and I haven't had a chance to get to talk to Angie since. I am hoping the offer still stands. TR 224/112 and the car will have even a nastier bark...funny huh...K9...bark...Ok, well you get the idea.

This whole project was designed to be able to quickly and safely be able to 'make contact' with those who break the laws. Our city is located on I35W and Texas Motor Speedway is right there. We have a ton of dangerous folks we deal with everyday that think (past tense) about running from ours, Ft.Worth's, and the Denton Co. Sherrif units Crown Sic's.
The Camaro and LS1 platform is not new to law enforcement however, major mods are unheard of in fleet and government operatons. The city pays for the car but,...big but,...I am responsible for any and all other changes. **Without these noted folks help we would have the run of the mill police type Camaro. Instead, our car does 150 at the drop of a hat, stops pretty damn fast, sounds nasty (Loudmouth,) and is a dependable, very fast car. I pamper it like crazy and it gets detailed every month by Zaino mobile detail in Frisco, TX. If it sounds like I'm on a soap box for the sponsors...I am. They are what makes this ride tick!

All the free mods possible are on the car. I am looking to do more as time and money allow but until then...she's a blast. We are gonna do a ton of shows this year with our kids education program and I plan on taking the car out to all of them. I love talking to LS1 members about the car (side of the road or parking lot...lol)

I appreciate all the positive comments and am always open to ideas from members.

Thanks,
Kev & P.S.D. 'Brando'
