Mold Removal Photos
This is on my project Trans Am, the '01. I had 1 hour during my lunch break to do as much as possible. I used a bleach solution, vacuumed, etc. Need to run some Meguires Gold Class leather cleaner over everything tonight or tomorrow. I'll be pulling the seats & carpets & using a carpet cleaner as well. Pardon the cell shots:

Lots of work remains on this thing, but progress is nice to see!

Thanks guys. It was mold. Tons of it. The car sat for 3 years in a garage, window cracked. The garage was not climate controlled, and was barely insulated (Old wood barn style garage). I should've taken a close up of it. It was nasty and I didn't feel like breathing it in lol...

Wow, what a difference!
I know this sounds stupid, but I hope you are wearing a mask. Mold is no joke, and can really reak havoc in your lungs and sinuses. I would run a purification system after you are done in the car for a few days (That mold will linger in the car for a long time even after you finish removing the "viewable" aspect)

Thanks guys!
Kenny, I held my breath. I know it sounds funny but I didn't take a breath inside the car. I would walk 5-10 feet from the car and take a breath. That's why it took me a good hour+ to clean it up.
I won't be driving the car for some time (engine work), so I leave the windows down and hatch open during every nice day. I'm doing an hour or two of work each day to dismantle things and put them back together. Should be finished with the interior soon.

Thank you fella's. My plan is to have the 98 as my M-F commuter vehicle, then the 01 as my weekend cruise and car show vehicle. With that said, the project car will eventually be the "nice" car as it's a true WS6. The '98 exhaust is decent, especially with the cutout, and works well right now with having volume control.
Phil, I am pulling the center console shortly to see if it spread. It seems localized to just the floor mats, passenger seat, and center console. I sprayed down everything with the bleach solution, though. I can't find any leaks either. Not sure how it formed, but it did.
