It's odd how they can calculate the supercharger eats up 600hp, yet they don't have a dyno to handle it. Plus, it's a key component of power, it really shouldn't take any more power

you have to think though, the engine makes 8000hp at 50psi. if it eats up 600hp, its makes it up after a few psi haha. plus there is probably a shitload of resistance in the supercharger. and i think the reason they dont have a dyno is the fact that the gets up to speed so fast that it will not be able to get grip, it will just spin to much.

(Hypothetical numbers for ease)
Engine alone makes 5,000hp
+
Supercharger making 50psi adds 3,000hp
-
Supercharger takes 1,000hp to turn
=
7,000hp total.
So while while the supercharger does eat up 1,000hp from the engine, it also adds 3,000hp on top for a total gain of 2,000hp.
Your A/C in your car runs off the crank and when engaged it sucks up about 10hp from your engine. Same thing here except the supercharger is so big and bulky it takes a lot of power to turn, but having it on there adds exponentially more power than what it eats up.
