That snow looks absolutely terrible. I love the south.

It's WAY more fun in a truck with 4WD! I would never want to do it in a sports car with summer tires, anything more than a 0.5deg incline would result in you getting stuck haha.

Agreed. As much fun as it is to play in with my truck or a quad, it means no Corvette for 6-7 months out of the year. Well actually, the snow doesn't bother me as much as the ******* gallons of salt they dump on the road!

i drove my first car (99 v6 firebird) the first winter when I could drive and it sucked. It's so much nicer having a truck to get around. Now i park my T/A and get my snowmobile out for the winter fun

It's also fun with snow tires and a STI!

Looks like fun but I would be paranoid I would slide into something, none for me. Pass. Maybe with a beater POS car, not my toy.

Toys are meant to be played with, not kept in a box. Just my opinion but I understand your concern. Just have to be more careful in the snow

Also, my Grundy collector car insurance would not be happy if a claim was made due to ice skating...

My snow toy>>>STI when there's more than a few inches on the ground.

Makes around 230@ the wheels and weighs about 3900lbs. 5-speed manual with an auto locker in the rear makes for a winter beater I'm never getting rid of!

see i dont get this? Why is it my car won't even move in the snow? If there is a tiny bit of ice or snow even on a flat surface I can not move. I remember my 93 z28 would drive in the snow just fine, but the 99 z28 just sits there and won't move?

Mine don't either really. I got away with it because it was fresh snow that was already paved and hadn't iced completely over yet. Once the ice forms I will get stuck coming out of the driveway at my house. It's happened twice already, my method when that happens is to basically to spin the tires until eventually burns through lol.

Checking in good sirs! Only got about 3 inches this time but we got 17 inches a couple weeks ago. Snow blower was working hard on that one.

These cars dont have much of a chance in the snow but some good winter tires will make a big difference (blizzacks for the win).

Agreed you mess around in almost any car and 12inches of snow and it will most likely end in a lot of shoveling, pushing and probably a tow. Which ain't so bad when your 16 but as you get older its not as much fun.

Eau Claire-ish? I have seen you post a lot but never noticed where you lived! I live in Downsville its about 30min West of EC and 6 miles south of Menomonie!

I got caught in a lil snow last night somehow i did alright even though im on summer tires i think it was the fact they are pretty much brand new and my car was packed full of luggage which added alot of weight to the rear but i was able to drive straight up a decent sized snow covered hill which surprised me since usually any incline in the snow results in an fbody getting stuck

x2. i stored my car in the winters up north because if the snow doesn't **** up the car (ie if you lose control and crash) all the road salt they put on the ground will.
