The Man Cave
At first glance, 3 basic things should be known. 1, my dad has worked very hard in his life to provide for my family and I can truly say he is my hero and man I look up to in life. 2, he is who I inherited my love of cars from. 3, this has been a long time coming...
My dad designed and built our house 12 years ago, we moved in 2000, and ever since the garage has been a storage facility...until now.
Garage mods:
-heater unit, wall mounted control
-oscillating fan
-pre-wired for stereo
-temperature controled attic ventilation fan in eves
-pre-wired for lift and air compressor on independent breakers
The pictures are kind of self explanatory...
Seeing as my car is stored at my parents house, it had to relocate for the 2 months of construction...
Sorting and trashing begins:
Insulation/drywall: (this wasn't photographed as much because this and the drywall was done in 2 days)
As you can see, we installed a pocket door to divide the downstairs from upstairs.
my dad's a bit OCD...I get it honest
Paint work: (I talked dad into painting the lower half darker and putting a band in, he picked colors)
reconstruction on workbench
dad making some weird pose...
Garage doors:
new motors, left door raised for lift clearance
new controls
installing door insulation
Electronics:
his sweet new fan
heater unit (supposed to be able to heat a 1000 sq ft warehouse easily, DEFINITELY works, in 15 minutes it changed the temp from 40* to 65*)
behind the unit on the wall, the plate is where the pre-wired stereo wire is hidden, once we decide on speakers and mounts we will install
pre-wired stereo
(this is on the main workbench, right side on the 1st shelf where the headunit will be placed)
Mom's workbench
The DD test fit
bike racks back in place
stairs, mom's bench, and the main work bench stained
As of now, we're doing the finishing touches, and are in talks with the lift company on delivery and setup instructions. Hopefully within the month we will have everything finished and will be enjoying it, not to say that we aren't already. haha.

OP, do you have a link to he heater? Is it 110 or 220? It's something I need to do. Granted the garage stays around 50 degrees even on the coldest of days here in PA, but it would be nice to kick on a heater when I wanted to work out there and bring the temp up a little.

The bike hooks are just your basic hooks for hanging bikes, but that's just the temporary spot for the car, dad's Cadillac is going over there once the lift is in.
I forget exactly what kind of lift it is, I'm at work now and I'll figure that out when I get home. The lift is really more for storage, my dad has a 1971 Triumph Spitfire that we restored that will be put on the lift, then my car will go underneath it with a cover.
Alchemist: this is the unit I believe. http://www.morelectricheating.com/de...FQeynQodOHoA-g
