Default FINALLY got a HOSS!!!!!:)

After 14 years I'm finally the proud new owner of a 99 Hugger Orange SS I've absolutely loved the Hugger Orange SS's since they came out in the fall of 98 and I've been trying to get my hands on the right car. I found my car in January this year, after a few weeks of talking, texting, and sending pictures and videos of the car I finally pull the trigger and get it on it's long journey to Alabama!

It has graphite leather, t-tops, M6 and is all stock minus the skip shift. To my knowledge it has no SLP options. It's a 1 owner car. The original owner didn't like the silver ZR1 wheels that came on it so he traded wheels with a new z28 at the dealership so that's why it has 16" wheels. I'm wanting to swap those out ASAP!

The car hauler finally makes the long haul from Oregon to Alabama and arrives Feb 13 around 7:30. I'm extremelly excited at this point!

I wished I would have taken pictures of the car after they got it unloaded because it was NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!! After signing the paper work I filled it up with gas and headed straight to the car wash to spray all the dirt, grime, and road film off. Here's a picture of the car the following morning still NASTY but not as bad as it was the night before haha.

My wife surpised me with an awesome Valentines present. She bought a SS model put it together for me and painted it Hugger Orange! She had been working on it for several days and I never knew lol. I have the most awesome wife in the world! LOVE HER!!!!!!!! She even painted the spokes black on the wheels because she knows I want the ZR1 black wheels with the thin polished lip. If anybody has a nice set of those please send me a PM!

Somebody had jacked up the car by both fenders and caused them to bulk out. I had to fixed that first lol! You can tell in these pictures how dirty the car was and the swirls!

Over the next few days I spent alot of time doing a paint correction with my Porter cable 7424 and Adams polishes. I didn't take any before pictures or during pictures except for this one. The paint had alot of swirls as to be expected.

The tips were in pretty bad shape! I cleaned them up with 0000 steel wool with Adams metal polish 1 and finished up with #2.

I took the seats out to vacum and clean a few little spots in the carpet

After pictures! Excuse all the mess in the background

Tinted my windows 5% a few weeks ago

Had all my lights professionally smoked

Added a SLP SS grille and took a picture with the stock grille removed

SS Manta Viynl decal installed this month! Really like the look it give the HOSS

6000K HID's

Painted my calipers Chevrolet orange last week

As of now my plans are:

Black ZR1's, 10 spokes, ZO6's, or C6's
Hurst or MGW shifter with Hurst ****
Exhaust

Thanks for looking at my thread!

A drop and rims would really set it off.

Great looking car. I'm def going to do the ss hood and the manta stripe. Unless I decide to go with the sunoco hood! Also makes me want to clean my car up and possible paint it from pewter to silver...

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay? I made $8500 offer on that car 6-7 months ago. I knew I should bought it but shipping it was a deterrent.

You should go with black C6 ZR1 wheels (I assume you're putting the 5-spoke wheels on your car).

Either way, it will/does look badass. Congrats.

I've actually thought about doing the black C6 ZO6 wheels but not sure I'm gonna like all black. Windshield is not tinted well at least not yet lol! Thanks again for all the compliments everybody.
