Probably a stupid question, but is the viper a production car like the zr1? I see Zr1's out and about, but I've never seen a viper driving around?

Limited production, although ZR1 production numbers have really fallen off the past couple of years. They had planned on making around 2,500 or so 2013 Vipers, but production issues have kept that number low (I think it is well below 1,000 at this point, and the 2014 model year is right around the corner).

A lot of Vipers have also been wrecked...they used to keep track of ones that were damaged, and it was estimated that about half had been in an accident of some kind (not sure how many were actually totalled, but there are tons that have been). They don't suffer fools behind the wheel.

Short summary, Chevrolet builds as many Corvettes in a single year, as Dodge has built total Vipers for the last 20 years. Only about 22,000 total Vipers built, last time I checked, for all years.

Production on the 2013 had some delays for months, I think they only built around 800 of them for this year.
