Default [VR] 712whp / 644wtq Cadillac CTS-V Sedan - Build Pics/Dyno Results Inside!

Last year, this client came to us with a very clean, low mileage auto CTS-V sedan looking to make some modifications. While the already capable LSA motor is great from the factory, the ability to make power easily is a great draw of these cars. As per our usual routine, we sat down with him and planned out what he wanted to do with the car. At first, the idea was to keep much of what makes the car a Cadillac while getting the most we could out of the factory blower setup. We decided to make sure everything stayed cool with HX upgrades then we got some more boost in the car through pulley upgrades while allowing more air in the system through porting and the throttle body. Since the factory pistons are cast, an Alky Control methanol system was added to aid in cooling the charge while adding octane and fueling to the setup that also increases available power.

Modifications Installed:
  • ID850 Fuel Injectors
  • AlkyControl Dual Nozzle Methanol System
  • Ported supercharger inlet/snout
  • Nick Williams 102mm throttle body
  • AirRaid carbon cold air intake
  • Borla axle-back system
  • Aeroforce Gauge
  • VR Heat Exchanger System
  • LPE 2.55 Upper Pulley w/ 10-bolt hub
  • Innovator's West Balancer w/ 9.1" Metco Pulley
  • Dual SMC Catch Cans
  • D3 Lowering Springs

The result? An impressive 635.47whp / 629.95wtq!

He ended up driving around on this setup for awhile and loved it. However, he was local and after riding in some of our faster built V's and the decision to sign up for the wannaGOFAST even in Ocala, FL, he decided it was time to step it up in performance and make this V sound like like there is real power under the hood! After going over what he wanted out of this stage of the build, we ended up with a modified version of our Stage V performance package, electronic cutouts, some new vinyl graphics for the event and more motor work to bring this sedan into the 700's at the wheel. We also added some more aggressive visual mods including an ARP carbon splitter.

Second Round Modifications Installed (Modified Stage V CTS-V Performance Package)
  • VR/WCCH Stage II CNC LSA Cylinder Heads - Milled to Spec
  • VRPD-2 Camshaft Kit for CTS-V
  • ARH Longtube Header System w/ non-catted X-pipe
  • DMH Dual Electric Cutouts
  • VR Heat Exchanger Resevoir Tank
  • ZL1 Lid w/ -AN Fittings and Braided Line

The result after this round of mods brought this V sedan to 712.29whp / 644.20wtq! That is a nice gain from headers, cam and heads. This car is ready to tear up the 1/2 mile this coming weekend with the rest of our big power CTS-V's.
