I remember watching these on SPEED (or was it TNN?) like, 15 years ago. Yet, I wondered the same thing, why haven't these caught-on in the US? (these were in Australia, right?). I mean, we race just about everything else here, lawn mowers, tractors, snowmobiles on water (!!) and swamp buggies (???). Why not these superboats? Sure, these don't have the high dollar prestige of offshore racing boats or top-fuel drag boats, but DANG it looks fun.
Because, 'Mercia! I guess.
