This is in spite of all of the C7 Z06 controversy floating over the internet. This guy is local and I was fortunate to see this pass in person.

Stock C7 Z06 Drag radial-only goes 10.38@131.

Now lets see a Hellcat or any other car for under 100k do that.

A lot of cars under $100,000 can do better. A boosted 5.0 can do that for less than $50,000. A used, 6-year old ZR1 can do better on drag radials.

Car is 100% stock beside Drag radials.

DA was -131 ft.

The fastest a "true" tire-only ZR1 has been three-hundredths of a second faster (10.33), and THAT WAS WITH KYLE LEMISH DRIVING, a renowned professional racer with plenty experience. I wonder what Kyle could do in a C7 Z06 with a tire? Probably a mid 10.2 or better I'd imagine.

This car had just over 100 miles on the odometer btw.

It is hard to believe that car isn't at least tuned. That is hard to verify so I am sure it will be discredited.

People said the same thing when the ZR1 went 10.33 tires/wheels only. C7 Z06 weighs a couple hundred pounds more but makes another ~45whp. This car is right in line with where it should be.

There is no other car that can offer that level of performance and refinement for the $$$$$. Corvette has has always been king of that.

For all the C7Z haters I say this: I suggested it would only take time before they ran similar times to the ZR1s, and look, within 4 months of release the C7Zs are knocking on the door of both the stock tire ZR record and DR only record.

How long was the ZR out before those hero runs were made??

I still say the ZR is much better on the top end. I have a feeling the 2016 Z06 might have a new "tune" from GM to reduce the gap.

I hope you are right because when they first came out. It was getting stomped by the hellcat and viper. I do like the A8 in the vette moves out nicely.
